When you sign up for any of our editing services, from developmental editing all the way to proofreading, you'll be working one-on-one with an experienced professional human editor. No AI bot or algorithm will so much as peek at your manuscript. All of your feedback will come directly from a real professional. We'll work together, human-to-human, to be sure that your writing is the best it can be.
Level 1: Developmental Editing
This is the deepest level of editing and should be done early. We'll carefully work through your project and identify big-picture opportunities for improvement. We might suggest changes such as moving, adding, or subtracting chapters; restructuring the plot; or revisiting character development.
Level 2: Line Editing
This editing level comes when the basic structure of the project is solidified and complete. We'll go over the manuscript on a sentence-by-sentence level and make sure everything is consistent and clear, that the tone and voice are working well, and that pacing and flow are optimal.
Level 3: Copy Editing
You're ready for this level of editing when the content of your project is essentially sorted out. When we copy edit, we'll consider technical issues such as grammar, punctuation, and style.

Level 4: Proofreading
This is the last-pass level of editing. We won't be concerned with making structural changes at this point. We'll be looking for spelling errors, typos, formatting mistakes, and other mechanical issues to get your project ready for publication.
